White Rock Beach

I went for a walk at White Rock beach last night. I loved it because I spent every weekend here growing up. It feels like home. These were taken at sunset.

Blogger Question

Does anyone know how to block certain people from posting comments on Blogger? I have comment moderation but I have gotten two extremely rude comments from the same IP address in two weeks. One calling me names, the other sexually harassing me. I will not tolerate it. It disgusts me and makes me want to delete the blog.

You make horrendous comments yet you hide behind "anonymous". You disgust me.

Watermelon

Summer is here and so is watermelon. Watermelon is the perfect fruit. It's low in calories, highly filling and highly nutritious. Watermelon and all other red fruits and veggies are high in lycopene which helps prevent cancer.I like to ball my melon. It just looks prettier.

Spaghetti Casserole

It was really tasty. All you have to do is make pasta and spaghetti sauce according to how much you need to cook. Spray a glass baking dish with non stick spray. Mix pasta and sauce together and place in pan. Top with shredded mozzerella cheese. Bake at 350F for 30 minutes.

Chicken Sandwich With Garlic Mayo

For lunch one day we made chicken sandwiches with sliced chicken breast, garlic mayo and tomato on baguette. These were the best sandwiches we have ever had! Fresh from the oven chicken breast topped with home made garlic mayo. How could it be any better?
For the garlic mayo all you have to do is:

1 cup mayonaise
1 clove of garlic, crushed
1/8 cup fresh squeezed lemon juice
Combine.

Super Chocolate Cookies

Baby and I were in a chocolate mood so we googled for a super chocolate cookie recipe. We found this recipe from howstuffworks. Instead of using candies we used semi sweet chocolate chips. They turned out pretty decent.
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1-1/3 cups packed light brown sugar
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, softened
1/2 cup shortening
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 cup candy-coated chocolate pieces
1 cup raisins
3/4 cup salted peanuts
Preparation:

Preheat oven to 350°F. Combine flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt in medium bowl; set aside.

Beat brown sugar, butter and shortening in large bowl with electric mixer at medium speed until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla; beat until well blended. Gradually add flour mixture beating at low speed until blended. Stir in chocolate pieces, raisins and peanuts.

Drop dough by 1/4 cupfuls 3 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets. Flatten slightly with fingertips. Bake 13 to 15 minutes or until almost set. Cool 2 minutes on cookie sheets. Transfer to wire racks; cool completely.

Teriyaki Chicken At The Keg

We went to the Keg for dinner. Both of us were in a lazy mood and we didn't want to drive anywhere or walk too far. So, we went to The Keg.

We sat in the bar and the waiter was a little slow because he was playing around with another patrons iphone. But, he was friendly and he gave us warm bread with whipped butter right away.

I got the teriyaki chicken. It's a double chicken breast topped with pineapple salsa and is accompanied by whipped garlic mashed potatoes. The chicken was perfectly grilled and was very juicy and tender. I got a very generous portion of mashed potatoes as well.

My meal was really cheap. My meal was only $15 and it was definitely well worth it.

I didn't take photos because I was with a friend and I don't intrude on my quality personal time with them.
